Although iQuote Xpress is a standalone SaaS service, we are proud to be part of the 1000+ applications and services offered for Salesforce CRM users and the force.com platform. If you are already a Salesforce.com user, setting up iQuote Xpress is extremely fast and easy.
With just the click of a button, the information from your Salesforce CRM contact database is synchronized with iQuote Xpress. Once the proposal is finished, it is referenced back to Salesforce opportunities.
Let us show you how our integration works:
Single Sign ON
iQuote Xpress offers single sign on capabilities, by just logging into salesforce.com you will be automatically granted access into our quoting platform from your normal Salesforce.com environment.
You start by login in with your usual salesforce.com credentials.
As you enter your Salesforce.com homepage you will notice it includes an iQuote Xpress tab.
If you click on the iQuote Xpress tab you can access all of your proposal information without leaving the Salesforce.com environment.
Accounts and Contacts
iQuote Xpress will pull your accounts and contacts database from Salesforce.com, making every account automatically available for you in the quoting tool.
In the example below you can see the information for United Technology originally in the Salesforce.com environment.
After synching you will see this same account listed in the iQuote Xpress customer search engine.
If you click on it, it will show the customer profile in iQuote Xpress and you will notice that the same information moved to iQuote Xpress from the original customer profile in Salesforce.com.
All of this happens seamlessly without the user participation allowing you to work with both tools as if they were one.
Opportunity – Proposal Integration
The integration will allow you to start a new proposal from an ‘opportunity’ using the iQuote Xpress object inside Salesforce.com as you can see below.
As you create and modify a proposal, the ‘opportunity’ associated to that proposal can be automatically updated from the quoting tool. Let’s walk through the process:
We will start by clicking on the “Add Quote” button in the Salesforce.com opportunity.
This will open a new proposal window that will include the opportunity name and the contact information of the customer we are building the quote for. This saves time and helps you easily move from your CRM to your quoting tool. The proposal and the opportunity it came from bind together and will automatically update as you make changes.
In our example, we added some items to the proposal, notice in the bottom right corner of the picture the net amount for this quote without taxes is $485.00.
We then click on the “save button”, the system assigns a unique proposal number and updates the proposal information to the opportunity in Salesforce.com
When we go back to our opportunity in Salesforce.com you can notice that the opportunity amount has been updated to $485.00, helping you keep your forecast reports updated without the sales representative having to re-enter the information into Salesforce.
